Munich, Germany 26-29 October: CORILA participated in the International Climate Resilience Conference (iCARE) at LMU Munich, Germany

Over 200 scientists, practitioners, and decision-makers gathered to exchange ideas and explore solutions on how to #resist, #adapt, learn, and #transform our coastal and urban environments under the growing pressures of #climatechange, #sealevelrise, and #urbanization.

Facing such a global #challenge requires #innovation, actionable strategies, and social #inclusion.

Within this framework, the CORILA team – represented by the Managing Director Pierpaolo Campostrini and the Senior Environmental researcher Francesca Coccon – shared insights on the #restoration efforts and #monitoring activities currently underway in the #VeniceLagoon, in collaboration with SELC Società Cooperativa, under the REST-COAST project.

These initiatives aim to counteract #erosion, enhance #biodiversity and strengthen #ecosystem services associated to the lagoon precious habitats, through a #participatoryapproach that brings together #stakeholders , #scientists and key #decisionmakers.

What clearly emerged from this event is the importance of #learning by doing and the power of #collaboration in planning and implementing actions to shape a more resilient future.
