BRIGANTINE has brought together multidisciplinary expertise in autonomous surface vehicles, marine biology, aquatic botany, environmental chemistry, sensors, imaging systems, robotics and digital data management to develop innovative solutions for marine and coastal environmental monitoring.

At the core of the project is an integrated approach to the observation, mapping and assessment of seagrass meadows and other coastal habitats, supporting their sustainable management and conservation. The BRIGANTINE autonomous surface vehicles combine autonomous navigation, environmental sensors, multispectral and hyperspectral cameras and digital data management, providing georeferenced information for scientific research and environmental management.

The Final Event will present the project’s main results and lessons learned, while looking at future perspectives and the transition from research and technological development towards operational applications. The programme will include technical sessions, a round-table discussion and a live demonstration of the BRIGANTINE autonomous surface vehicles.

Participation is open to everyone and free of charge.
