The three themes of the program are divided into lines of research. Some of these are completed, others will end in 2012 or 2013.

Theme 1
Studies, research and experimentations for supporting the preparation of the new interventions programme for the safeguarding of the environment aimed to reclaim the polluted areas of the Lagoon of Venice and to improve the environmental quality, through the identification of convenient objectives and new types of action.

Studies, research and experimentations for enabling the revision of the “Piano Direttore 2000”

Theme 3
Research on the effect of climate changes in the North Adriatic sea, referring in particular on the effects of the utilization of water resources within the drainage basin (including underground waters) and their effects on the lagoon taking also into consideration potential problems arising from the management of the tidal regulation system.
